The TABC basketball rankings are out for the Ladies for the week of January 20th-26th and all the teams in 5A held serve as Monterey is still ranked #1, followed by Tascosa at #4 and Amarillo at #5. A huge matchup is coming tomorrow, January 21st, as Monterey will host the Tascosa Lady Rebels in a massive District 3-5A tilt that will break a tie for first place amongst the two in the standings.
In 4A, Canyon is ranked fifth and Seminole is ranked ninth in the State. In 3A, Canadian is still undefeated and ranked first in the State, while Idalou is seventh, Dalhart is 15th and the defending State Champions, the Shallowater Mustangs, are starting to heat up and have moved up to 21st.
In 2A, Panhandle is ranked second, Farwell is third, Whiteface is fifth, Abernathy is eighth, while Clarendon, New Home, Wellington, Spearman and Stratford are ranked 11th-15th: Folks, that’s nine 806 girls’ teams ranked in the top 15 in 2A! While in 1A, Valley has moved up to #1, McLean is sixth and Nazareth is eighth in the rankings!
