For Coach Fred Jordan, the Tulia Hornets job is one he cherishes and he is getting everyone in the community to buy in as he has. When I interviewed him at their practice today, Jordan stated that there was a lot of untapped potential and hidden gems in Hornet Country.

The Hornets will have it tough this fall as they have Canadian, Childress, Dimmitt and Friona in their district, but the playoffs are attainable this fall for Tulia. Twelve starters return including quarterback David Molina and wide receiver Logan Beccera. Their defense will have to play disciplined and keep things in front of them as I think the offense will put up some points this fall. Their games against Friona and Dimmitt will determine if the Hornets get into the playoffs, and what seed they will be when, and if they get in.

Their 2024 schedule consists of three-straight games at home to start the season, but trips to West Texas and at Canadian and Friona to end the season. That game against Friona may be for a playoff spot! Here is Tulia’s schedule below and my interview with Coach Jordan that took place today.
