The highly anticipated 2024 WNBA season arrived tonight and we had four games to start the season with the most-anticipated game being the Connecticut Sun, hosting the Indiana Fever and the number one overall pick in the 2024 draft, Caitlin Clark. Let’s recap all four games below:

CONNECTICUT——- The Connecticut Sun dominated the entire game and Dewanna Bonner moved up to 5th all-time in scoring in WNBA History in their win over the Indiana Fever tonight. Alyssa Thomas netted her ninth-career triple-double while DiJonai Carrington scored 16 points while also being the primary defender against Caitlin Clark- who had 20 points on 5-15 shooting and 10 turnovers on the night- which was just what the Sun needed to secure the victory.

WASHINGTON — — Jonquel Jones scored 25 points, Betnijah Laney-Hamilton added 20 and the New York Liberty opened the season with an 85-80 victory over the Washington Mystics on Tuesday night. The Liberty went on an 13-3 run in the fourth quarter to get close enough to pull this game out and go 1-0 on the season
MINNESOTA 83 SEATTLE 70
SEATTLE — — Alanna Smith scored 16 of her career-high 22 points in the first half, Napheesa Collier scored seven of her 20 points during a decisive fourth-quarter run, and the Minnesota Lynx beat the Storm 83-70 on Tuesday night, spoiling the Seattle debuts of Skylar Diggins-Smith and Nneka Ogwumike.
LAS VEGAS 89 PHOENIX 80
LAS VEGAS — — A’ja Wilson had 30 points and 13 rebounds, and the two-time champion Las Vegas Aces opened their season Tuesday night by holding off a late rally and beating the Phoenix Mercury 89-80.
“It’s the first game of the season. It looked like it,” Aces coach Becky Hammon said. “It’ll be all right and we’ll smooth some things out.”
