NBA PLAYOFF CENTRAL, DAY SEVEN: PACERS WIN IN OT, MAVS STIFLE CLIPPERS

As we almost approach a week of NBA playoff coverage, some series are taking shape and some are still up for grabs. The Pacers won a hard-fought contest, the Mavericks got defensive in their win and Minnesota went up, 3-0 in their series. Here’s a recap of the sixth day of the NBA Playoffs

Dallas—- Dirk Nowitzki had 22 points in the game and almost had another triple-double as the Mavericks won, 101-90 over the Los Angeles Clippers to take a 2-1 series lead. Russell Westbrook had one point on 0-7 shooting and was ejected in the fourth quarter.

Indiana—- Tyrese Haliburton had a triple-double for the Pacers with 18 points, 16 assists and 10 rebounds, even though he was 1-12 from behind the arc on the night. But, Haliburton came up clutch with a three-point play with 1.7 seconds to go in overtime to give Indiana a 121-118 victory. Khris Middleton scored 42 on the night and was 4-9 from three-point range for the Bucks, who now trail 2-1 in the best of seven series.

Phoenix—- Minnesota, led by another 30-point effort from Anthony Edwards, defeat the Suns, 126-109 to put Phoenix at one game away from being swept out of the first round. Edwards scored 20 in the fourth quarter and Kevin Durant’s 23 wasn’t enough. This is the first time in Minnesota’s history that they have led a series 3-0 and Phoenix’s first time being down 3-0 since 1998.
