NOTRE DAME TAKES ADVANTAGE OF GEORGIA BLUNDERS, ADVANCE TO CFP SEMIFINALS

Georgia came into this game shorthanded as they starting Quarterback Carson Beck was ruled out of the College Football Playoffs due to his elbow injury sustained in the South Eastern Conference Championship game.

Besides that, the Bulldogs played Norte Dame tough for almost the entire first half before the Fighting Irish scored 17 points in 53 seconds to take a 20-3 lead, early in the third quarter. That lead ended up being too much for Georgia to recover from and Notre Dame advanced to the College Football Playoff Semifinals where they will take on Penn State in the Capital One Orange Bowl .
