Juju Watkins scored 25 points for the Trojans, while Sarah Strong and Paige Bueckers led the way for UCONN with 22 each and USC survived a late rally to win the top-10 matchup, 72-70 in a great contest at the XL Arena in Connecticut.
USC jumped out to a 24-15 first quarter lead and held on to the lead most of the way as the lead only changed twice in the contest. The Trojans shot %56.3 percent from three-point range and that helped them secure their first-ever win over UCONN in the process.
