THRASH LOOKS TO GET MONTEREY BACK TO THE PLAYOFFS IN HIS THIRD YEAR WITH THE PLAINSMEN

This is the third year of Coach Judd Thrash leading the Plainsmen and he has been building his team back to playoff contention in time for this season. In year one, Monterey went 0-10. The second year, the Plainsmen went 4-6 and their record could have easily been 7-3 as they lost four of those games by a combined ten points.

So, what happens in year three under Thrash and some of his new coaching staff hires that include Coach Jason Sims— who was previously at Childress and runs an exciting uptempo offense that will get his impact players in space and in advantageous matchups. There isn’t a shortage of talent in Plainsmen land as they have the best Quarterback in the 806 to me in Luke Arrington and Kyree Baxter; who didn’t get to play last year due to transfer rules but is cleared this season and will make a heavy impact immediately for Monterey.
