The Mules have long had success— especially in the early 2000’s with a title in 2008. We all wonder will the Mules’ football program get back to the cream of the crop; sooner than later. This year’s team led by Coach Jason Richard’s will be good, but how good will be the question we all will tune into for the answer this fall on the gridiron.
The Mules return 13 starters this season from a team that went 9-3 and lost in the Area Round to Brock in 2023. Senior Quarterback Nathan Martens will be counted on to lead some of the younger players coming up in their system as well as navigate a tough non-district schedule and a rough district schedule now that the Mules have dropped to 2-3A DII.
You have to love their schedule this season before they jump into district play as they will take on New Home, Clyde for Homecoming and Canadian: the State Semifinalists from last season in 3A DII. Idalou is predicted to win 2-3A DII, according to Dave Campbell’s, with the Mules coming in second in the district. Some key players that Muleshoe will count on this season to deliver are:

Aaron Morales- LB
Expect another fun season from Muleshoe, and with some key players that will fill in huge roles for the Mules, they’ll make a deep run this fall.
