THOMAS, CARRINGTON CARRY SUN TO VICTORY OVER FEVER

Connecticut—- Alyssa Thomas had a triple-double for the Connecticut Sun as they defeated the Indiana Fever, 92-71 to open the season with a 1-0 record. The Suns’ DiJonai Carrington also played tough defense on Indiana’s Caitlin Clark as she had ten turnovers with 20 points and shot 5-15 from the field.

The Fever struggled with turnovers all night as they tallied 24 in the contest. It was an overall team effort for the Sun as Tyasha Harris and Carrington contributed with 16 points a piece and Dewanna Bonner moved into 5th place All-Time in scoring in the WNBA in the victory.
